Today, Equipmii is growing fast
Bringing together a community of people with physical impairments—from temporary injuries to lifelong disabilities—who share a common goal: to make product design work for everybody.
Equipmii was founded by Claire Given, a problem-solver who was born with one hand. Frustrated by years of buying products—from prams to hair appliances—only to find them difficult to use, she began to challenge to status quo.
Why do so many products fail to consider the needs of people whose bodies differ from the status quo, especially when we make up nearly 25% of the population?
Her vision was clear. A world where design considers everyone and finding products that suit your unique needs is simple. And with that, the Equipmii inclusive design revolution began.

In 2025, Claire’s work was recognised with the prestigious Women in Innovation Award, placing Equipmii among the top 1% of innovative companies in the UK.

At Equipmii, we believe accessibility should never be an afterthought. By building it into design from the very start, we’re working towards a world where every person is seen, valued, and included.
